Maryville University is seeking a skilled and analytical Salesforce Business Analyst to join our Project Management Office on a 1 Year Contract. In this role, you will lead the analysis for Salesforce Education Cloud implementation, optimize system integrations, and drive transformative business process improvements. As a bridge between IT and business stakeholders, you will align digital projects with the University's strategic goals, particularly in recruitment, admissions, and student lifecycle processes. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, passionate about leveraging technology to enhance the student experience. You possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Responsibilities • Business Process Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather organizational insights and understand strategic goals. • Solution Design and Implementation: Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement Salesforce solutions that address identified needs. Develop detailed technical requirements, design documents, user stories, process diagrams, mock-ups, system integration plans, and testing plans. Willing to challenge and influence the status quo for transformational change based on the latest AI technologies. • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to inform planning, monitor project progress, and measure success against the University's strategic goals. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support decision-making. • Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a liaison between IT and business teams, promoting transparent communication and ensuring solutions meet evolving needs. Provide regular updates and facilitate discussions to align project objectives and outcomes. • Standards and Documentation: Contribute to creating and maintaining standard business analysis templates, workflows, and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency. Maintain comprehensive documentation for knowledge transfer and future reference. • Change Management: Apply change management practices to facilitate smooth transitions during system updates and new implementations, addressing challenges and resistance effectively.

Minimum Qualifications
|
• Experience: 3-5 years as a Business Analyst focused on Salesforce, a strong understanding of higher education business processes, especially in recruitment, admissions, and student success. • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Salesforce CRM architecture, system integrations, and workflow automation tools. Familiarity with SCRUM project management methodologies and proficiency in tools like Slack, Miro, and Asana. • Prior Experience with Salesforce Solutions: Candidates should have demonstrable experience in building and configuring Salesforce solutions. This includes hands-on experience with customizing Salesforce applications, creating custom objects, fields, and workflows, and implementing automation processes using Salesforce Flow. • Understanding of Salesforce Architecture: A solid understanding of Salesforce architecture and data models is essential. This knowledge will enable the candidate to participate in designing scalable solutions that align with best practices and organizational needs. • Analytical and Communication Skills: Ability to analyze complex business scenarios and translate them into technical requirements. Excellent customer-oriented verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Effective Elicitation Techniques: Candidates should be skilled in various elicitation techniques to gather requirements effectively. This includes conducting interviews, surveys, and workshops to comprehensively understand stakeholder needs and translate user stories for a SCRUM format. • Adaptability: Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Salesforce certifications (e.g., Business Analyst, Administrator, Platform App Builder) are highly desirable. Scrum Master certification a plus. • Experience in the Online Course Industry: Experience growing and scaling the online course industry. This includes knowledge of operational strategies, market trends, and approaches to enhance student engagement. • Additional Experience: Experience with multi-org Salesforce installations, Education Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, project management, PROSCI-change management, and data-driven business strategies.
