Maryville University is currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Academic Records Generalist. This role plays a pivotal role in assisting with the implementation of new technologies and maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of student academic records within the institution. The Generalist will work closely and collaboratively with various departments across campus to ensure compliance with academic policies and provide essential support to students and faculty members.
Essential Responsibilities: Student Records Management: • Manage and maintain student academic records focusing on accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality. • While this Generalist will focus on transfer articulation, they may also input and update student information including grades, course registrations, changes of majors, and other academic-related data accurately and timely.
Data Analysis & Quality Assurance: • Implement and maintain data quality controls to ensure the accuracy and consistency of academic records. • Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in student information.
• Generate reports to support academic decision-making processes.
• Maintain the Transfer Equivalency Database.
Five-Star Service: • Serve as primary academic records contact for Visitor Center walk-ins and questions. • Assist faculty and students from diverse backgrounds and populations in a timely and frictionless manner via phone, email & in-person.
Collaboration: • Be a dynamic team player who will listen and work well with others to get things accomplished in a responsive and organized manner while considering multiple points of view, but always keeping the deadline and a sense of urgency in the forefront. • It is imperative this role collaborates with the faculty & advisors to support the transfer articulation processes
Process Improvement: • Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement efficient workflows, and contribute to the optimization of data-related processes..
Serving our on-campus learners: Required to work on-campus a minimum of 4 out of 5 days per week to serve our students efficiently.
Ad Hoc: • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the management team.
